Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, simethicone.
Description
Each 5 mL contains Aluminium Hydroxide Gel equivalent to Aluminium Hydroxide 306 mg, Magnesium Hydroxide 110 mg, Simethicone 30 mg.
Indications/Uses
Relieve colic, flatulence, abdominal pain due to gastric hyperacidity or peptic and duodenal ulcer, and used as carminative.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Shake it before use.
Take Belcid Forte before meal 30 minutes or after meal 1 hour, or when having a symptom.
Adults: 1-4 teaspoonfuls.
Children 6-12 years old: 1-2 teaspoonfuls.
Children 3-6 years old: ½-1 teaspoonful.

Contraindications
Cardiovascular disease and renal failure.
Special Precautions
Should not take this medicine longer than 2 weeks.

Adverse Reactions
Diarrhea; hypermagnesemia in renal failure patients; constipation; osteomalacia and hypophosphatemia; accumulation of aluminum in serum, bone and CNS (aluminum accumulation may be neurotoxic).
Drug Interactions
Prolonged use of aluminum-containing antacids may result in hypophosphatemia in normophosphatemic patients if phosphate intake is not adequate. Hypophosphatemia can lead to anorexia, malaise, muscle weakness, and osteomalacia.
Use aluminum hydroxide with care in patients who have recently suffered massive upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage.
Storage
Do not store above 30°C. Avoid freezing.
